Re: Project Start - Proposed 2024 Street Reconstruction and Utility Improvements
Dear Resident,
The Village’s 2024 Street and Utility Improvement Project is beginning this week and includes the reconstruction of Orchard Avenue and replacement of water main and storm sewer from Lake Street to Park Avenue. The project also includes reconstruction and utility replacements in Park Hill Drive from Lake View Ct to Oaklawn Ct. The storm sewer and water main will be replaced, and water services will be replaced to the property line along Park Hills Drive. The proposed reconstruction will include removal and replacement of the existing asphalt pavement, and the proposed street widths will remain the same. Concrete curb and gutter will be added along Orchard Avenue. Sidewalk ramps will be replaced as needed.
The project starts with water main to be relayed starting this week on Orchard Avenue. After the utility contractor is completed on Orchard Avenue, then they will move to Park Hill Drive. Attached is a copy of the street reconstruction plan. We anticipate substantial completion on November 1, 2024. Schedule updates will be posted on the Village of Pewaukee website. Prior notifications for temporary water shut off will be delivered by the Contractor. Please observe any posted “No Parking” signs to assist the Contractor in getting the work completed.
