1. Call to Order, Pledge of Allegiance, Moment of Silence, and Roll Call
President Knutson called the meeting to order at approximately 5:40 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited, followed by a moment of silence.
Roll Call was taken with the following Village Board members present: Trustee Bob Rohde, Trustee Kelli Belt, Trustee Chris Krasovich, Trustee Kristen Kreuser, Trustee Jim Grabowski; and President Jeff Knutson.
Also Present: Village Attorney, Matt Gralinski; Village Administrator, Matt Heiser; Village Clerk, Jenna Peter.
2. Public Hearings/Presentations – Presented out of Order after item 8b when the Board resumed session at 6:00 p.m. after a brief recess.
a. Presentation by representatives from St. Teresa of Calcutta on volunteer home repair assistance available to Pewaukee area residents.
Scott Gosse and Stephanie Haizel presented. St. Teresa of Calcutta is collaborating with Group Mission Trips based out of Colorado to sponsor the Pewaukee Workcamp Mission Trip July 21 – 25, 2025. Approximately 200 youth and adults will be coming to Pewaukee and staying at the middle school. Ideally, they will help service 40-50 homes that need critical repair for families who would otherwise could not afford the repairs. Some of the repairs would include porches, wheelchair ramps, painting, deck construction or repair, mobile home skirting and more. Scott and Stephanie asked the Board to distribute and share the information to the community to help reach their goal.
3. Approval of Minutes of Previous Meeting
a. Minutes of the Regular Village Board Meeting – January 21, 2025
Trustee Krasovich moved, seconded by Trustee Grabowski to approve the January 21, 2025, minutes of the Regular Village Board meeting as presented.
Motion carried 6-0.

8. New Business
a. Review, discussion and possible action on filling vacant seat on the Village Board.
President Knutson explained that Trustee Gergen has vacated her seat before the end of her term due to moving out of the Village. The Board has the option to vote a Trustee into the vacant seat temporarily or operate with 6 members until the new members are elected after the April 1, 2025 election.
The consensus of the Board was to continue to operate with 6 members until new members are elected after the April 1, 2025 election. - No action was taken.
b. Review, discussion and possible action to appoint Trustee Kelli Belt to the Library Board.
Knutson stated Trustee Gergen was on the Library Board and there is now a vacant seat on that Board. Trustee Belt has expressed interest in being on the Board.
Trustee Rohde moved, seconded by Trustee Grabowski to recommend Trustee Kelli Belt to the Library Board.
Motion carried 6-0.
Trustee Grabowski moved to recess until 6:00 p.m., seconded by Trustee Kreuser.
Motion carried 6-0.
9. Citizen Comments – None
10. Closed Session. – The Village Board of the Village of Pewaukee will enter into closed session pursuant to Wis. Statute Section 19.85(1)(c) to consider employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility, specifically regarding the Sergeant of Police and Deputy Clerk positions.
Trustee Rohde moved, seconded by Trustee Krasovich to move into Closed Session at approximately 6:16 p.m. Motion carried on a Roll Call vote, 6-0.
11. Reconvene into Open Session
Trustee Krasovich moved, seconded by Trustee Grabowski to reconvene into Open Session at approximately 6:50 p.m. Motion carried on Roll Call vote, 6-0.
a. Possible action on compensation for the Sergeant of Police.
Trustee Krasovich moved, seconded by Trustee Kreuser to approve compensation for the Sergeant of Police as discussed in closed session
Motion carried on a Roll Call vote, 6-0.
b. Possible Action on compensation for the Deputy Clerk.
Trustee Krasovich moved, seconded by Trustee Rohde to adjust compensation for the Deputy Clerk as discussed in closed session.
Motion carried on Roll Call vote, 6-0.
12. Adjournment
Trustee Grabowski moved, seconded by Trustee Kreuser to adjourn the February 4, 2025, Regular Village Board meeting at approximately 6:52 p.m.
Motion carried 6-0.
