This Holiday Season, local law enforcement agencies are again teaming up to offer a special “Shop with Cops” event. This special event will take place on Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 8:00am-10:30am at Horizon Elementary School in Pewaukee (458 Lake St, Pewaukee).
Shop with Cops offers children (in grades 5K-5th grade) the opportunity to shop with police personnel for holiday gifts for their families. Children will go with law enforcement officers to Walmart and will then be treated to breakfast with officers, dispatchers, and Santa. This is a unique opportunity for children to develop a relationship with law enforcement personnel that will hopefully serve to make a lasting impression on their lives.
We are able to offer this program to families at no cost because of donations, fundraisers, and volunteers. Shop with Cops was developed with the idea of helping children from our communities whose families may be facing financial challenges during the holiday season.
Parents or guardians who would like their children to participate in this year’s event can pick up a registration form/application from the Village of Pewaukee Police Department, Village of Hartland Police Department, City of Delafield Police Department, or Village of Chenequa Police Department during regular business hours starting on October 23, 2024. The form needs to be completed and returned no later than November 18, 2024. Registration is limited so please return the forms promptly.
You will be notified by Friday, November 22, 2024 if your child was chosen to participate in this year’s event.
